“From day 1 of having Nurse Candy as our nursing instructor at my LVN school, she has given nothing but her best and her all in making sure her students grew into the best versions of themselves. Her perseverance to build monumental foundations for those who were on the verge of giving up can best be described as an answered prayer. I can attest to this because she was there during my point of letting go. When I saw myself as a lost cause she saw me as someone with untapped self-potential, and she was right because now here I stand, 4 years into my nursing career, only aiming higher and higher in my education, in gaining more experience, and in love with the challenges that come with life. Ms. Smalls, you are not only one of a kind in building your business but also your high pursuits for bettering others in different ways, your patience in providing intimate educational services to others in need is life changing and inspiring. I can definitely say she is what you didn’t know you need.”

- Josh D. LVN to BSN

I PASSED! Amazing instructor. I haven’t had a teacher like Nurse Candy ,EHA in a long time and not only was she fun at clinicals, but Nurse Candy was a very inspiring person too. From the anecdotes & experiences she shared, to the inspiration and motivation she gave us did wonders for my confidence. I have never had a teacher go around the classroom and tell us what stand out qualities they saw in us. Before I started to do my online theory modules, and at times during those modules I was stressed about lots of things for my future, but once I had felt the enthusiasm you gave our class I had finally found a reason to be optimistic. That fact that Nurse Candy was able to bring that to each class of hers day in and day out amazed me. I hope I can inspire someone one day as much as Nurse Candy inspired me. So again, I genuinely thank Empowered Health Academy from the bottom of my heart and I know God has Nurse Candy on the best path possible.

- Mark

I appreciate Nurse Candy of Empowered Health Academy so much!
My first day going into the building i was so scared i was just thinking to myself “i cant believe im doing this it’s finally happening.” She gave me such a wonderful first experience in the healthcare field. i know many people who stepped foot into it and decided that it wasn’t right for them, but after being in this class and learning from you, i’ve never wanted to do anything more. i loved how Nurse Candy shared her knowledge with us, and her personal experiences, it made me admire her passion so much. and seeing how she took care of the residents there too, i wanna be a nurse just like Nurse Candy one day She made my flame even bigger. thank you for being our amazing and kind teacher, we all wouldn’t have made it here without you!

- Lyna N. CNA

Nurse Candy, I just wanted to let you know that I passed both the written, and the practical Vic pass both written in the practical as well as Iris and I just wanted to let you know we thank you so much. God continue to bless you and I’ll be seeing you soon with some of the courses I promise myself.

- Wasia CNA

I just booked a meeting with Nurse Candy. I’m looking forward to meeting with you her . I’m super excited and really glad that Nurse Candy was able to be guest speaker at my High School Sem Yeto , Career Development Class because you shared many similarities with me and have motivated me to try to push forward with nursing.

- Anna L . Sem Yeto

I have such an appreciation for Empowered Health Academy & Nurse Candy ! Even throughout my RN program Nurse Candy has been ONE OF THE BEST professors I’ve ever had. I was able to learn so much from her and that’s something so valuable I can’t even express my gratitude enough.
